Isle Royale is known for its great amount of moose and wolves. They have been studied for over five years! The two organisms are the longest ever studied predator-pray system in the world. During the 1990's, both species population decreased dramatically due to diseases and cold winters. Wolves have since then, inbred, and their size has increased. Despite that, moose population is still low. Isle Royale is also home to a number of plants including various berry bushes to different types of moss.
